Sarah & Abrar | Downtown Chelsea Hotel Wedding | Toronto
Sarah and Abrar celebrated their wedding downtown Toronto at the Chelsea Hotel. It was a two day affair that began with a Gaye Holud.
The Gaye Holud was held for both Sarah and Abrar the night before their wedding. The groom and his groomsmen entered separately and began the celebration with a choreographed dance. A cousin and an aunt of the groom joined the festivities as well with a dance. The bridal party and guest followed the Gaye Holud tradition by wearing vibrant colours of red, yellow, and orange. The room’s family fed Sarah and Abrar, and there was Mehndi available at the ceremony for everyone to decorate their hands and bodies.
Sarah and Abrar celebrated their wedding day at the Chelsea Hotel. The wedding took place outside, during which Sarah wore a white dress and Abrar wore a classic suit. The bridal party sported cultural attire in colours of red, gold, and royal blue. This was beautiful way to symbolize the union of 2 cultures and the contrast of colours made for some visually dynamic photographs. The after-ceremony portraits were taken at the MARS building, Osgoode Hall, and Nathan Philips Square in downtown Toronto.
We’d like to thank Sarah and Abrar for the opportunity to shoot their gorgeous wedding. It is always a treat to attend a cultural wedding – so full of colour and tradition. Congratulations to the couple and we wish them both a lifetime of happiness.
