When do we receive our photos?

Your engagement photos will be online within 2 weeks of your engagement shoot. Your wedding photos will be online within 8 weeks of your wedding date.

What format will my images be delivered in?

Once we have finished the retouching our your images, they are uploaded to our online gallery. The images will be available at full resolution and ready for print. The USB drive will include your engagement photos, wedding photos, and video slideshow of your wedding photos.

What is the online gallery?

Our online gallery is a password protected section of our website where your photographs are available for viewing and downloading.

Can we have the RAW files?

Duplicates, eyes closed, no flash and unintended subjects are the only images discarded. These RAW images are not ideal for viewing and therefore not available.

How many pictures will we get?

The final number depends on the total hours of coverage, the number of guests, and the type of event. Please note that the images selected for editing reflect our highest standards. Duplicates, eyes closed, no flash and unintended subjects are the only images discarded.

Is there a second shooter?

Yes, both Angela and Anthony will be photographing your big day. There is also an option to add our assistant.

If an unforeseen circumstance prevents Angela or Anthony from attending the event, our assistant will provide coverage.

Can you hold the date for me?

To reserve your date and book our photography services, a retainer of 40% is required. We book on a first come, first serve basis.

How do you require payment?

A retainer of 40% is required to reserve your date and book our photography services. Final payment is due seven days prior to your wedding day. We accept credit, e-transfer and cash as forms of payment.

Can we substitute our engagement shoot for more hours on the wedding day?

We offer the engagement shoot as a complementary part of your wedding package, and we feel that it’s an essential part of our process. Many of our clients book us online without meeting in person. The engagement shoot allows us to meet and get to know you before photographing you on one of the most important days of your life. It allows you to get comfortable with having your pictures taken and it breaks the ice.

Where do you live? Do you travel?

We have relocated from downtown Toronto and currently live in Saskatoon, Sk Canada. We LOVE to travel and are happy to travel to other destinations for weddings. All that is required is flights for 2 (Anthony and Angela) and a small travel fee that covers our incidentals and hotel for at least 3 nights: typically the night we arrive, the night of the wedding, and the night after.

Can family and friends take pictures with their cameras?

For sure! It’s your wedding. If your family members would like a duplicate of the formal photographs, we will gladly step aside for them after we have ensured we’ve captured a photo with all eyes on us. We do ask to be the only photographer present during the bridal party and couple portrait sessions.

Do we need to feed you at the reception?

It would be a nice gesture, but it is not required. It does not have to be the same as your sit-down meal. Many caterers offer “vendor meals” as an option. We’d prefer to be fed when you are fed, not afterwards. We do not take pictures while you are eating and not at your most photogenic. When you’re finished eating, we want to be done as well, to continue your coverage.

Do you offer discounts for off-season or non-Saturday events?

Do you offer discounts for off-season or non-Saturday events?

If we run overtime, will you stay?

Absolutely, if you would like us to stay overtime with your permission we will continue covering your wedding and bill for those hour when return from your honeymoon. Our additional hourly rate is $300.

If we decide to commission Damion Rae Photography for our wedding, when should we book?

A.S.A.P. because we cannot “hold” dates or “pencil you in”. Dates are booked when the deposit is received. Most of our commissions contact us a full calendar year or more in advance.

Can we give you a shot list of photographs we want you to take?

For family photos, It would be helpful to have family groupings written down for us in advance, however, we will not work from a “checklist”, or repeated requests for posed images. It is very helpful to know which important relatives and friends are coming to your wedding and if any events bear special significance, but a “shot lists” is counterproductive. Please understand that we will generally capture all those images without prompting.

How longs have you been shooting weddings?

Angela studied visual communications and photography in University and started shooting weddings in 2011. Anthony annoyed his family members with his camera throughout his 20’s and shot his first wedding in 2010. When Angela and Anthony met in 2012, they realized they shared a passion for photography and started Damion Rae Photography in early 2013. Together they have both shot over 50 weddings.
