Phil and Brad: North York Engagement
Phil and Brad decided to have a North York Engagement shoot to celebrate this milestone in their lives. These two had been together a long time and were ready to tie the knot! We took advantage of this beautiful fall day by wandering outside Phil and Brad’s condo and snapping pictures along the way.
We began our shoot at York Mills Valley Park – right off the parking lot of York Mills subway station. This park is easily accessible and provides a nice escape from city life. The park contains a stream that runs from the West Don River, many bike trails, and a playground. Phil and Brad’s pug dog Prada really seemed to enjoy the open space as a way to burn off some energy. The colours of fall were so prominent on this day, they really added a beautiful pop of colour to the photos.
We then made our way to Loretto Abbey Catholic Secondary School to stand outside the Tudor-Gothic building. The school is one of Toronto’s oldest educational institutions and makes for a great brick backdrop. We love the monarchical feel this historic building gave the photographs – it also makes for a great story to tell.
It was lovely to work with Phil and Brad, for both their engagement shoot and as well as their wedding, which was held at the Eaton Chelsea Toronto. We wish them both a lifetime of happiness.
