For this winter engagement in Guelph, Danielle and Chris chose a number of locations such as the Old Quebec Street Mall, John Galt Park, and the Church of Our Lady Immaculate.
Most people prefer spring when booking their engagement shoot, but I’m pretty sure Danielle and Chris can attest to the fun we had braving the cold. Danielle and Chris met in Guelph, so this is where we chose to shoot the engagement portraits. We spent the day adventuring through falling snowflakes – walking to three different locations within Guelph. Between locations we got to know this couple a little better, and all about their favorite sport – Ultimate Frisbee!
We started our photo shoot off at the Old Quebec Street Mall in downtown Guelph. This isn’t your typical mall; the venue displays a unique architecture as if you’ve stepped into a historic town’s main street. The shopping mall has skylights and a quaint, almost outdoor feel to it. All the shop entrances are framed with exposed brick, trees, and benches – a great location to start off the engagement shoot.
Our second stop was John Galt Park, where we took advantage of the walkway lights that had just flickered on due to the setting sun. These lights added a unique touch to the photos and the romantic lighting couldn’t have been more perfect. We were all enjoying the scenery so much we didn’t even notice the chilly temperature. This couple had fun keeping each other warm and their love shone through in every picture.
Our third stop was last, but not least: the Church of Our Lady Immaculate, located in the heart of Guelph. This church is considered the architectural masterpiece of the city of Guelph with it’s stunning structure that took more than 50 years to build. We’ve got to give it to Danielle and Chris – they picked some pretty amazing locations to shoot!
