Lisa & Jared: Richmond Hill – Mill Pond Park Engagement

Lisa and Jared chose to have their winter engagement session done at Mill Pond Park , in Richmond Hill, to celebrate their love for each other and not to mention – their upcoming wedding! The couple made the bold choice to schedule the shoot mid-January, but the cold didn’t seem to faze them at all. We were looking forward to exploring and photographing Lisa and Jared in the park.

While this park has many attractions in the summer, it is also a sight to be seen in the Winter, and hosts an annual Winter Carnival put together by local volunteers. While it is tricky to photograph snow, we love the serene backdrop it provides for Lisa and Jared’s photos. The couple chose to keep it casual and wear black, which provided nice contrast against the snow. There was also plenty of forestry around which made for dynamic photos. It’s easy to see why Mill Pond Park is a local favorite and at the same time – a hidden gem. You don’t hear much about this park, but it’s definitely worth remembering.

Lisa and Jared get married in April 2016 and we hoped it is everything they dream of. We’d like to thank them for the opportunity to shoot their engagement and wish them both well in the future.
